Four girls from everywhere.
A school in the middle of somewhere.
A city at the edge of anywhere.
A school story like you'll find nowhere else.

The Extras is a modern take on a classic boarding school story, a slice-of-life comedy / fantasy about the everyday adventures of growing up. Located in the City, the School of Saints Java and Hellbender is as much a character in the story as the girls from almost everywhere who live and learn there, and just as full of secrets.

Does anyone know the building that the school is based on? It's in Detroit and the real one celebrated its hundredth anniversary this year. More clues in the text.

That's awesome! Was it held in one of the auditoriums, or the chapel?

Sorry for the delay replying — it *was* awesome! Held in the big auditorium, because our gradating class had 789 people, so we took up the center section of the main floor.

That is a cool building!

Having celebrated it's 100th birthday, I'm assuming this is not another classic building tragically abandoned for decades until if was too far gone to be restored.

The building is very much active and in use. It includes a much-used and beloved concert hall. I'll post the answer by the time the next page comes out!

Thank you!

The tax bill the Masons owed to the county did not seem onerous at first glance.

But then again, fraternal organizations seem to have been on the decline for a long time.
