Four girls from everywhere.
A school in the middle of somewhere.
A city at the edge of anywhere.
A school story like you'll find nowhere else.

The Extras is a modern take on a classic boarding school story, a slice-of-life comedy / fantasy about the everyday adventures of growing up. Located in the City, the School of Saints Java and Hellbender is as much a character in the story as the girls from almost everywhere who live and learn there, and just as full of secrets.

Katie just amazes me sometimes. I mean, just look at these gorgeous pages.

Coming soon: a full-color print of the twin moon maps. Stay tuned for details.

This is also the official debut of Sassy Patience. Just look at the sass.

A while back, Chantilly wrote a couple of poems about the moons.

More than any other pages thus far, these two contain some really major clues about the nature of this place we're in, and what drives it...

This also marks our 200th entry... but more than that, it's our 200th straight weekly update without a break or hiatus of any kind. It helps when there's three of us instead of flying solo, for sure, but I'm still very proud of this achievement!

Now available: New stickers and other merch! You can order them and the collected books 1 and 2 of The Extras
from Our Ko-Fi Shop! ComicFury creators and registered users, PM me directly instead to receive a special discount!

Oh Moon Moon. I have had this double chart of the Two Moons of the City in the back of my mind for many years, and it is so amazing to see it brought to life by Katie Hodges! She has done plenty of great work for this comic, but this storyline really takes it to new heights-- all the way to the Moons, in fact. I wrote it especially for her to "go nuts" with, and she has definitely done just that.

Thanks, Katie.

The sass! Just fantastic~ And the moons look amazing!

Also the alt text for the page popped up when I lingered on it for too long and I burst out laughing. Takes me back!

Patience is awesome. She's a natural storyteller!

Plus, to echo everyone else: the art on this page is Grade A. I mean, it's just fantastic.

Patience does weave a good tale. How close she gets to objective reality, though, is up for debate.
And Katie is awesome.

God damn that is cool, what a way to mark the 200th page. Definitely gonna snatch up one of those prints when they're available! Congrats on both the milestone and the consistency! Even with a team that's really impressive.

Agree on the great art!

The only cue I get from the presence of the two moons is that the city could be on Mars, but I assume this is not the case.

The line about the appearance of the Moon of Science is the big clue...

The Moon may have dead stones, but it also has rabbit warrens.

Thank you for the interesting article link! These would also make great nurseries for lunar mushrooms or cabbages.

Oh of course she'd have strong feelings about the Moon. I love the line, "Her moon of dead stones disturbs me." It would disturb a lot of people in history! :)

And this page is totally gorgeous!

Congrats on 200! It is neat to start seeing things for which Patience has no patience.

Patience is pretty even-tempered, but she does have some buttons.
