Before I was born, my mother liked the name Barnard for a boy. Every time she mentioned it, my father would burst into the song. As events unfolded, I am not a Barnard.

Personally though, I find the mascots scary. I've always found rag dolls and some stuffed animals scary. Dunno what it is, but I guess it's like some peoples' fear of clowns. I'm not too bad with clowns.

I'm glad the Study Buddies hit the uncanny valley a bit for you. We tried to think of the most ridiculous way possible to get across the idea of "hey, we have a study group!" and this was what we came up with. A touch of terror is just a bonus.

We already know Mallory and Dewby; since they've appeared more than once we'll probably end up giving the other four members of the troupe names as well. Just don't ask me what they are yet...
